Pulse is the whole package. Everyone wants a Pulse. A beautiful nature, athletic, cowy, nice type and extremely versatile. She broke in very easily (was ridden by a 10yr old as a breaker) and is a pleasure to do anything with.  She is a proven performer and a handy beginner horse. She has been our ‘old faithful’ since she was 2yrs old! She is so like her mother Ganna Slip who I had as a child. Slip excelled at showjumping whereas I think Pulse prefers cattle work, but she will have a go at anything.

A few of her highlights so far are wining the hack section of the Junior Hack Challenge at her first ASH Futurity as a 2yr old.  At 3yrs old she competed in her first draft getting a full course and a 81. Since then the kids have competed her in their leadline events at gymkanas and she has finalled and placed in various drafts and show challenges.

2023 Pulse won the M4M at Condamine Encouragement draft becoming a Novice mare, my first draft win. This mare is so naturally talented, if only her jockey was more experienced at drafting! That being said to have my first win on her was so precious. I am so grateful to her.

2024 Pulse won HighPoint ASH at won the challenge at the local Ag Shows.

Pulse has been leadline for both our boys and was Toby's first off lead. He has competed her in campdrafts and various Ag Shows and PC events.

She is worth her weight in gold and has been used to teach numerous people to ride, kids and adults!

More about Pulse can be seen on our FB page.

CRAIGLEA STELLA

Reg No: ASH C2-232515 HSH

Sex: Mare

DOB: 16/12/2013

Colour: Bay

Reg Status: Second Cross Heritage ASH

Stella is the last foal, and the only filly we have retained, out of my fathers amazing mare Ganna Slide.  Stella was purpose bred for polocrosse, combining Star Kingdom and Star Black Minstril, but is proving to be very versatile and is competing successfully in a variety of disciplines - polocrosse, showing, drafting and challenges.

Ganna Slide (older full sister to Ganna Slip) was a truly remarkable all round mare. She excelled at polocrosse, competing at club and state level, and won numerous individual awards. Slide was also very cowy, a great work horse who would have made a great campdrafter. She had a cool trainable mind, and was ridden by anyone from children to adults. Slide was a true family horse.

Stella shaped up to be all that we hoped, perhaps a fraction smaller than expected (given she is pure TB/ASH) but she is a pocket rocket! She enjoys her cattlework and took to polox like a duck to water, showing big heart and try - just like her mother did. She also is a pleasure to do flat work on.

At 3 years old she competed in her first draft with minimal cattle experience. A spot came up in our local draft and Stella was the only other horse I had that was broken in! She ran an 81 straight up, into the Encouragement final! She was also competed at Chinchilla Encouragement Draft and ran an 82 in the Maiden. She has proven to be consistent in her draft scores ever since and also does some lovely flat work, placing in Ag shows and competing in dressage etc.

In 2019 Stella had her first polocrosse carnival and showed a lot of promise, being quite hard hitting and great at holding her line, particularly for her size. She had never been on a field or even attended a play/practice day and went straight to playing a full carnival at as no.3 - like her mother. The following weekend she was competing in her first challenge and won. Stella has also carried Jack to win lead line age champion at her first gymkana that year.

Stella finalled in just about every draft I took her too (I was competing in Encouragement, Maiden and M4M). I think she would have placed if she had a more experienced jockey on her!

Unfortunately towards the end of 2022 she must have had a paddock accident that has resulted in her being retired from riding. Whilst very sad, we had always intended to breed her, just wish we had of achieved our goals before hand.

Being our only HSH bred mare and such a proven versatile allrounder, particularly for polocrosse, drafting and kids she should produce some quality progeny.

More details on Stella can be found on our FB page.

2022/23 - foaled a lovely colt. Craiglea Fortune, by BONLAC HIDDEN ACRES who was sold before weaning.

2025 -  due to BINNIA IMPRESSIVE DESTINY

Sex: Mare

DOB: 10/11/2014

Colour: Chestnut

Reg Status:  Dual Reg ASH & AQHA

Solitaire was the third filly out of our beloved Sparkles. She is a big mare at about 15.3hh and has a lovely nature. Solitaire has been used around the place for work and pleasure. She is showing promise for a variety of disciplines, drafting, challenge, polox and even dressage.

In 2019 she attended a few Challenge/Draft clinics and received great feedback from various people. She competed successfully at a local Ag Show and had her first draft run at the Condamine Encouragement. She also competed in her first Challenge event where she tied for first in the dry work and trail class (with her stable mate Stella) and ended up coming 2nd overall. Solitaire also competed in her first campdraft and ran well (just running out of time).

2021 - competed in the ARBC and scored well in dry and wet work. Also competed in her 2nd ACA draft and again just ran out of time.

2022 - placed 4th in the Maiden for Maiden at Pittsworth, running 2 scores of 80. Very pleased for her third ever draft.

She has made various finals since this, including a novice final (my first horse to do so).  Solitaire has also won champion Hi Point ASH at Roma Show, a Supreme Led at Miles Show and possibly one of her proudest achievements is being piloted by Jack to WIN his (and her) first Junior Draft. She has also been Jack's main horse since he was 9 and we are so grateful to her for this.  Jack has been riding her the last few years 2023-2025 and I have not been doing many competitions but I hope to get back challenging a bit in 2026.  She has done shows, stock horse challenges, pony club and plenty of mustering with Jack.

She is a great mustering horse and a reliable all rounder, pull from the paddock after a spell and ride away. Priceless.  To view more information on SO many of her achievements jump over to our FB page.

CRAIGLEA JEWEL

Sex: Mare

DOB: 11/12/2015

Reg Status: Dual Reg ASH & AQHA

Jewel was our 4th foal (and 4th filly) we got out of Sparkles before we had to sell her and is by a very well cow horse sire in Resyn Hell. She has the same good honest nature as her older sisters and mum. This mare is naturally athletic and willing.

Jewel has had a go at most things and is a proving to be a reliable all rounder. Her FB album has much more detail and various photos of her journey to date.

Some highlights for her are placing in a show challenge, a few good campdraft scores from limited runs and good cut outs, she also played a polocrosse carnival with NO practice days and held her own. The photo above was when she was clipped up for her one and only carnival to date!

We have not been doing many competitions the last year or so but she has been reliable for me to take to drafts, and is proving to a safe mustering horse and will most like become the next one for the kids if we don't breed her first.  We are excited to breed her but at the moment can't afford to not have her around to pull out of the paddock and ride when we have a muster or need an extra horse. At this stage she is Jamies horse until I get something else for him to go onto!

CRAIGLEA WISH

Reg No: ASH C2-242872 / FM-25738

Sex: Mare

DOB: 13/11/2016

Colour: Black

Reg Status: Dual Reg ASH & AQHA

Bred By:  Mani Sturrock

Wish is bred for polox, draft & challenge. Her mother was handy polocrosse mare (2x QLD/National Rep) and showed great promise at dressage (she had exceptional movement).

Wish has competed successfully in local Ag Shows, picking up various broad ribbons in led classes.  She has had a few campdraft starts and was lent to friends for extra runs.

She was bred to GRANITE in 2022 and foaled a beautifully filly Craiglea Glamour. 2023-2024 She was ridden briefly around the property by our 8 year old son after Glamour was weaned.

She is currently due to foal to Branchvale Metal Alloy - we are extremely excited to see what she produces this time around, it will be 3/4 sibling to Glamour.

Due to "life" Wish wasn't campaigned as much as we would have liked in her early years. Now we feel given her type, size and nature she might have to stay in the broodmare paddock! We feel she will cross well with a huge variety of stallions whether they are ASH or AQHA and are excited to see what she produces in the future...

Various photos & videos of Wish on our FB page.

Ever since I was a young polocrosse and horse obsessed girl I wanted to breed to Edenhope Sam. By the time I was breeding horses myself, Sam was long gone so I was always on the look out for a Sam mare. I always thought Star Black Minstril was a versatile sire of not only polocrosse horses but various other disciplines. So, when Star of Eden came up I had to have! Her dam was also closely related to my all time favourite polocrosse mare as a child, Yarrahappini Veuve owned by Paula Deane.

We waited many years for Virtue - we bred 5 foals from her Dam, she was the only filly! Her older full brother Craiglea Confessor is showing a lot of promise proving to be a great campdrafter.

We also loved the other half brothers we bred out of that mare and they are all natural athletes - Craiglea Sovereign (One Moore Daddy), Craiglea Confessor (Breks Duck Yeah), Craiglea Revelation & Craiglea Exalted (Doolanpartnership Espresso).

Virtue was shown inhand briefly in 2021 - taking out Champion led ASH and AQHA at her first show & placing at her second.

She has done well in show ASH challenges (as pictured) and won various working sections at Ag Shows and has had a few tidy draft runs from limited starts. Virtue is also proving to be a tough little work horse and can go all day in the hills at the new block. She is a bit sassy and super athletic and good off the mark - all attributes that can make a good polox pony as well!

At the moment Im torn between getting some foals out of her and competing her so we will see what 2026 brings. She is such a nice type and has such a good performance pedigree with no ACRES that there are so many stallion options for her for either polocrosse or drafting.

As with all our horses you can see their FB Albums for various photos and further detail of their achievements.

CRAIGLEA GLAMOUR

Glamour1

Reg No: A1-13969

Sex: Mare

DOB: 10/11/2023

Colour: Bay Roan

Reg Status: Registered AQHA

Bred By:  Mani Sturrock

Glamour is our first foal out of Craiglea Wish and she is everything we had hoped for and more! Not only is she our first Metallic Cat descendant, she is also the first roan we have bred.

Not only has she combined some of the best cow horse lines in the country, she is stunning and seems to have a natural people loving disposition.

Her sire, Granite has gone from strength to strength since we bred to him and is already making his mark in the campdraft arena as we had expected. We love Granite's size,  bone and breeding as Metallic Cat needs no introduction and neither does One Moore Annie (One Moore Playboy o/o an Acres daughter)!

Her dam, Wish is a well conformed naturally quiet, big mare. She has competed successfully in various ag shows, usually taking home broad ribbons in her led classes. Our 7 year old son also rode her a few times briefly after Glamour was weaned.  She also enjoys working a cow and is a great mustering mare. Whilst we have not campaigned her as much as we would have liked as a younger mare (due to life!) we now feel, given her size, type and nature that her value lies in the broodmare paddock producing future champions.

We look forward to breaking Glamour in at the end of 2025.

NB: We have a 3/4 sibling due (by Metal Alloy) this year and if it is a colt it will be available from weaning.
