Welcome to Craiglea Working Dogs & Stock Horses...

“Craiglea” is located near Drillham, on the Western Darling Downs in Queensland.

We breed, train and sell practical, versatile Border Collies and Australian Stock Horses to suit a wide variety of disciplines. Working ability is our first criteria, and our animals are used regularly on our 12,000 acre property, which includes a 3,000 head beef cattle feedlot. On the property, we background cattle for the feedlot, as well as running Boer cross goats. Versatility is the key focus with our animals, and when we are not using them at work, we are competing on weekends in cattle and sheep dog trialling, polocrosse, campdrafting, team penning, dressage and showing.

We love our dogs and horses, and we are passionate about breeding and training top quality animals.

Spud and Rees had a great weekend at Dulacca Cattle Dog Trial - Spud won the Open, and Rees won the Novice. This was Rees' first Cattle Dog Trial!

Jamie and Spud represented QLD in the winning STATE OF ORIGIN TEAM at Scotston Cattle Dog Trial, 2011.

Mani and Sparkle were selected in the 2011 Leichhardt Zone Ladies Polocrosse Team - Mani rode Sparkle at the QLD Zone Polocrosse Titles at Cunningham on the 2-3rd July. Their team won the B grade competition.
